    SO, how do you enjoy your snacks at that lovely outdoor cafe with your flynets on? Liquefy and use a straw?

      Good question,. Bush flies are strange creatures in that they do not like to be under overhangs or inside things. They also are not attracted to liquids or drinks, so fortunately a resting beverage does not accumulate a series of floaters. As for the actual consumption, at peak times you can just slip the cup/bottle/mug under your head net for a sip and the flies will not follow. In this case the shaded patio plus the setting sun was enough to reduce the fly presence to a minor annoyance. Within 10 minutes of sun passing below the horizon these critters are completely gone and you can enjoy the twilight in peace.
